About Us
Sitting for a Cause is all about exceptional pet sitting that gives back! We are passionate about animal-related causes and are committed to giving 50% of our profits to help animals in need. After all, we can’t think of a better way to help animals in need of homes than to use profits earned by taking care of animals who already have homes!
Launched in January of 2013, Sitting for a Cause started off as a one woman and her dog pet sitting duo that was able to give back over $4600 to help homeless pets over the course of two years. Sitting for a Cause expanded in 2016 in order to work with more pet care professionals and give back on an even greater level! We now offer services beyond just overnight care including daily drop-ins, daycare, transport, walks, and more!
Ashley Jacobs – CEO and Chief Sitting Officer
Ashley is the founder of Sitting for a Cause and serves as the CEO and Chief Sitting Officer. She is a graduate of UCSB and resides in Newport Beach, California with her golden retriever, Diamond.
Diamond Jacobs – Top Dog and Executive Sitting Assistant
Diamond is the Top Dog and Executive Sitting Assistant at Sitting for a Cause. She enjoys playtime with all her Sitting for a Cause clients, especially when playtime includes a good round of tug-of-war or a dip in the pool.
Michael Jacobs – CFO
Michael is the CFO of Sitting for a Cause and has an extensive background in marketing, operations, management, and sales. Michael resides in Newport Beach, California with his wife.
