- Greece Canal Dog Park – This park is 1 acre and includes a separate area for smaller dogs. All dogs must be registered with the Monroe County Department of Parks for entry into the dog park. Open from 7am to 5pm, October 15th through March 14th, and 7am to 9pm, March 15th through October 14th, this is a great place to go if your dog loves to run around and play catch. It’s also an ideal place for your dog to lounge in the sun if they just want some fresh air.
- Ellison Dog Park – This park is not just for dogs, it’s a great place to take a walk or go for a run too! The hours are 7am to dusk year round and it costs just $24 per year to have access to the park. There are a lot of big hills for your dog to run around on, providing them with a great workout. During the winter you can even sled with your dog if your dog is up for the adventure!
- Bruster’s Ice Cream – Speaking of ice cream, Bruster’s is another great place to take your dog. They will even make a free sundae with dog bones crumbled on top for their furry customers. If you don’t see it on the menu just ask and they will make it for your dog!
- Canal Way Trail – This trail is one of 1600 rail-traits supported by Rails-to-Trails conservancy, which is a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nation wide network of trails. This is a perfect place to take your dog for a walk. On the canal on the Fairport side there is a great ice cream shop called Moonlight Creamery that features a dog-friendly outside seating area complete with a water dish for thirsty dogs.
- Village Bakery and Café – With seating outside for your furry friend, they serve soup, sandwiches, salads, quiche and desserts. It’s a great location to go during the spring and summer.
