1. Best Bed for Puppies: OxGord Pet Bed Dog Bed Fleece Cushion
This bed has a bumper wall and cushioned bottom for new pets. It’s made with synthetic sheepskin and is fleece lined and padded. It’s three size options and low price makes it great for new pets to find what type beds the pup likes and for small dogs, they can keep it forever but larger dogs will need to graduate to a larger bed. People who have had the bed mostly say that it is machine washable making it great for a messy new puppy.

Review from July 2016:
Very easy to wash, seems to be holding up well under puppy’s attentions. He hasn’t managed to tear the fluff out of it yet, which is really remarkable. (Dog is 10 lbs, wiener dog)
2. Best bed for Senior Dogs or Dogs with Arthritis: Papa Pet Orthopedic Dog Bed
This bed has four inches of gel infused foam to cushion and help regulate the temperature for when your senior dog spends hours on it. The bed also has two linings, a microsuede one for comfort and a waterproof inner lining for any possible accidents. The non-slip bottom helps to keep it in place while the senior dog gets on and off. Being one big, flat bed also allows the dog to choose his own position wherever it might be.

This is just what my sweet old boy needed! He has arthritis and the easy to wash cover takes care of the accidents he’s been having lately! Great product.
3. Best Bed for Big Dogs: Happy Hounds Oscar Orthopedic Dog Bed
This bed is great for a big dog since it has about three inches of egg carton foam inside to cushion and is large and flat for them to sprawl out on. The cover over the foam is machine washable and is reversible with microfiber on one side and a sherpa panel on the other.

Review from May 2013:
When I unpacked this bed, I thought there is no way this bed is going to withstand my 100 pound Lab sleeping on it every night. This bed is very lightweight, however, very durable, supportive and good quality. I am very happy with this purchase and my dog loves it. Even though I have a large dog, I purchased the medium bed and he fits on it perfectly. I highly recommend this bed. Great price for the quality.
4. Best Bed for Little Pups: Pet Tent
This bed is great for small pups who love to curl up to sleep. The covered bed gives them their own space and keeps them warm and you can choose faux suede, linen or corduroy to fit your needs. The bed is machine washable and small enough to take with you when you travel so the dog always has a sense of home no matter where you go.

Review from September 2015:
My 16-pound dogs LOVE this “pup” tent. I bought just one, but they fought over it. So, I bought a second one — but many times they both pile into the same one.
5. Best Bed for Medium Size Dogs: Pet Sofa Bed
This bed is great for medium dogs because you can pick one of three different sizes to fit the size and sleeping position of your dog. The bottom is high-density memory foam and is removable for machine washing. The extra cushion around most of the bed is great to use as a pillow or cuddle up under.

Review from February 2017:
The underside has a bit of grip and reinforcement, the fabric and stitching seems strong. Sturdy zippers for memory foam and tube pillow section. The memory foam came rolled and vacuum sealed just like a human foam mattress topper. The color is a nice neutral charcoal. Price was very reasonable. Above all my dog hasn’t moved off of it since he got in it!!! This will be great for his achy joints!!!
Also wanted to add, bed arrived double boxed and waterproof, so even though it was raining all day the product was bone dry. :)”
6. Best for Crates: Dog Bed Mat by HeroDog
This mat is great for in crates since it’s half an inch thick to make sleeping comfortable and has a fleece top and anti-skid bottom. The mat is machine washable and keeps its shape but it isn’t designed for chewing on.

Review from January 2018:
This bed is well made. The non slip rubber on the bottom is a great feature as the bed doesn’t slide around which helps my puppy feel more comfortable. This is a flat bed so dogs who like to burrow and snuggle may not care for it as much but the cushioning is good even though it isn’t thick. My puppy prefers it to all his other crate pads…..
7. Best for Destructive Dogs: Kuranda Dog Bed
This bed is great for destructive dogs since there is nothing they can get to easily enough to destroy. The frame is made out of high strength, lightweight aluminum and the fabric seems to be attached inside the frame so there’s nowhere for them to chew on the fabric and the vinyl option is great for diggers. The surfaces are easy to wipe down and are waterproof making it a great indoor or outdoor bed.

Review from December 2016:
Excellent for my Irish Wolfhound pup! He has been unable to damage it by chewing or digging at it. It was very easy for me to put together by myself and took very little time. It is lightweight and simple to move to clean under, and cleaning the bed itself is as simple as wiping it down. The vinyl wears in over a few days and I think becomes more comfortable for the dogs when it has a little give to it. The vinyl isn’t too slippery for him either, and he seems to prefer the bed to the floor at least (but not over the couch!). Overall, excellent and durable product!
8. Bed for Dogs with Separation Anxiety: Separation Anxiety Relief Dog bed
This bed is a case for putting around one of your pillows to help comfort your dog with your scent while you are away. One half is a pillow while the other half is a blanket portion for them to lay on or cuddle up with. It’s machine washable and dryer friendly making it a great option for even messy dogs. The bed is only half cushioned though so it might be better for either smaller dogs or for a larger dog to use as a pillow in combination with another bed to help with separation anxiety.

Review from January 2016:
This is a wonderful pillow bed. The dogs love it. I use it on the carpet, in my bed so they won’t steal my pillow, and even the love seat. It is easy to insert pillow and is well made. I love the fact that it is washable. The dogs love the Sherpa cover. The only suggestion I would make is to have it a little bit longer.
9. Best for Dogs that Overheat Easily: Coolaroo Elevated Pet Bed with Knitted Fabric
This bed is great for dogs that overheat easily because it holds the dog up seven inches off of the ground so that there is airflow on all sides of them. The breathable fabric is comfortable for dogs to curl up on and is easy to wash making it great for indoor and outdoor use.

Review from March 2012:
I bought one of these almost two years ago and it’s still in excellent condition today. It’s been outside year-round in sun, wind, cold and lots of snow. I have 2 Siberian Huskies and a German Shepherd/Boxer mix. They all use the bed daily, sometimes all the the same time, and it shows no sign of bending, sagging, tearing, etc. They nap on it, they use it like a trampoline and it often serves as safety during games of tag. I haven’t had the same luck with the other outdoor beds I’ve bought and the dogs always choose the Coolaroo over the other beds anyway so, I just bought another one. These beds are very easy to put together – it took 5 minutes from the time I carried the box into the house to the time I carried the assembled bed out to the yard. I learned with the first one to leave the bolts loose and twist the last leg up to align the holes for the 4th bolt…
10. Best Overall Bed: FurHaven Orthopedic Dog Couch
This bed is great for any dog who loves to curl up on the couch, it’s their own little couch. The egg-crate foam and faux fur make it great for curling up on and sleeping. The raised sides are great as a pillow or somewhere to cuddle up to while to open side is great for sprawling half off the bed.

Review from March 2017:
I bought this for my 120lb Rottweiler/lab mix and it’s so nice. A lot of times XL or Jumbo sizes aren’t big enough for him, but he has plenty of room to sprawl out and get comfy along with his blankets and toys. Seems to be of good quality and he’s happy, so I’m happy 🙂
What kind of bed does your dog sleep in ? Leave a comment and let us know!
It’s really hard to choose what the best dog bed for large dogs is. You have to consider many things before buying one like the size. You also have to consider the durability because it’s not easy to buy a dog bed one after another. You also have to consider if the dog is comfortable to the bed. It’s a great article and it’s very helpful.
Awesome beds for Small Animals. Thanks for sharing this post. Great Job…..Keep it up
My dog fits well with ‘Bed for Dogs with Separation Anxiety: Separation Anxiety Relief Dog bed.’ It is fully comfy & not weak like the one we had before.
Hi, Thanks for sharing you ideas i love dogs
I want to make sure that I get my dog the right bed. It makes sense that I would want to ensure that I get one at the right size! I wouldn’t want to have to worry about him not fitting in the bed I get for him.
I hadn’t thought about getting a specific bed for an older dog. My parents’ dog is getting older and he’s not as prone to curling up to sleep anymore. I’ll have to let them know they should consider getting him a different bed so that he can stretch out comfortably and sleep.
