Taking your dog hiking with you can be a rewarding experience; not only do you have company but your pup also gets exercise. Your dogs will thank you for the adventure and will want to go with you again!

1. Consider your dog’s health: There may be some factors that prevent your dog from going hiking. Factors such as arthritis or simply not being as active can cause difficulties for your dog. 2. Dog’s responsiveness: Responsiveness can be helpful and even life saving. You want to make sure your dog will respond and come when called to prevent any accidents with other hikers or with animals nearby.
