1. Peanut Butter and Sweet Potato Treats

What You Need:

  • 1 cup of mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter

Directions:

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325° F (163° C.)
  2. Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves together.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the molasses, water, and oil.
  4. Pour the molasses mix into the flour and stir.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until it’s about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Cut out the dough with your preferred holiday cookie cutter shape.
  7. Use non-stick cooking spray to lightly cover a baking sheet.
  8. Put your cut-out dough on the sheet, spacing cookies about 1/2 inch apart.
  9. Let them bake 20 minutes, then cool.

What you need:

  • 1 Sweet Potato
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil (melted)
  • Turmeric and cinnamon.

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Wash and peel the sweet potato.
  3. Cut the sweet potato into evenly sized, long pieces, so that they’ll resemble fries
  4. Coat with spices and oil.
  5. Place fries on baking sheet in one layer.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, while flipping over fries throughout to ensure even baking.
  7. Bake for another 10-15 minutes.
  8. Let cool for another 20 minutes before serving.

4. Apple Kale Mint Treats

This apple kale mint treat recipe is simple to make, and tasty!

What you need:

  • 1 Apple
  • 2 Kale Leaves
  • 4 Mint Leaves
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use a silicone mini-muffin pan or grease a metal mini-muffin pan.
  2. Puree apple pieces, kale, mint leaves and water until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined.
  4. Spoon batter into prepared muffin pan.

Directions:

  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, molasses, peanut butter, water, olive oil and peppermint extract until smooth.
  3. Kneed flour on a floured surface and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with your desired cookie cutter shapes.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool for at least 20 minutes before serving.
